The Help
Alright so my mom and my sister were trying to get me to read The Help a couple of months ago. And now since im in college I have found no time to read because theres more important things like facebook and homework to do. Anyways so I finally picked it up and it was THE best book that I have read since Twilight or Harry Potter. Im not even kidding I loooooved it! I couldnt put it down, it was seriously so good. And now Im having trouble finding another book to read cause it was so dang good! Anyways now theyre making a movie out of it with Emma Stone and Im soo excited! Fingers crossed it'll be good!

let the spring cleaning begin!
A lot of you may know that I love to clean and organzie things, except for my room, I've gotten better at it, I promise. Anyways a lot of you have been in our home office and I am so sorry for you. This week during my spring break, my goal was to clean the heck out of that room. My dad had extra cubicals from his office that he thought would be so great to have in our office but since there are drawers and shelves and extra counter space they have been a covered with our moms paper clippings, ripped out magazine pages and anything that has to do with Martha Stewart, House Beautiful, and the Ensign. I have had enough of the piles! I broke each part, the main computer desk, the closet, and the laptop/printer desk into three different days. And here are the before and afters...

| I only have an after of the main computer because I didnt think about taking before and after pictures after I cleaned up this mess |
I couldnt have done this without iTunes, thank you The Beatles, Bob Marley, Lady Gaga, and Barbra Striesand. And I couldnt have done this when my mom was around, thank you for being in Hawaii over MY spring break! Thank you. My sister and I thought next time when theyre out of town we should get rid of the cubicals and get a huge long work space and combine our sewing room and office into one and make our sewing room into a playroom for the Farrah, Ava, and Jett, the grandbabies. Because if anyones watches Dear Genieve or Sarah's House on HGTV, your home office should be nothing like your work office...but thats for when our parents are out of town next time!

Ladies
Since March is Women's History Month. I would like to pay tribute to the ladies in my life that have inspired me, both living and non-living.
Great Grandma Martha Brian, who I am lucky to be named after!
She was an amazing woman that lived well over 100. She drank Diet Dr. Pepper until the day she died. She always had a story to tell us when we would come over. She had a darling house on about 6th East and 10 South with shaggy carpet and an old organ. She always had cookies and Bugles for us to eat and toys that my grandma used to play with when they were our age. I admire her so much!Grandma Ermon Larsen
Grandma, where can I start? She is proably one of the most kindest, thoughtful person you'll ever meet. I was lucky to have lived there when I was born for a couple of months until our home was done. I've always thought of their home as a second house. You know when youre there because youre being asked a thousand questions if youre hungry or whats going on in your life. As a kids we would play "little people" and cars while her and my grandpa had their two tvs going on in the background with golf on. At her house is where I learned my first swear word "shit" thats my grandmas go to word for anything. She is the best!
Grandma Pauline Bailey
I wish you were still here with us. You were an incredible woman. You raised six kids while working and being a wife. You taught me many things about life. I'll always remember painting your coffee table purple with a feather, having sleep overs in your enormous bed, playing dress ups in your jewlrey, and helping you decorate for the holidays.
Aunt Brenda, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Leslee, Aunt Penni, Aunt Lynn, Aunt Debbie,
Aunt Liz, Aunt Marie, Aunt Sue, Aunt Egie, Aunt Jenny, and of course Aunt Laura
All of my aunts are amazing woman. They stretch from Kennewick, Washington to Dallas, Texas. They have taught me so many things and are wonderful women! I love seeing them whenever I do. Theyve raised the best first and second cousins I could ask for!
Alyson, Jude, Eva, Denise, Heidi, Jan, Theresa, and Diane
My neighbors are amazing! They have pratically been my 2nd mothers. Some have been my young women leaders and I am so greatful for their testimonies! I love them so much!
all my [xi] babes and Vicki
Thank you for being there! I love coming every week and seeing all of your beautiful faces! We have so much fun together and I admire you all!
My siiiister, Elizabeth
This is your shout out! You have been an amazing example to me! I've looked up to my whole life! And I love it when you walk up here with Sammers and you have her wake me up. Thank you for all you have done and all the clothes I have stolen with out you knowing... I couldnt have asked for a better sister! I love you!
Lorbot, Lor, Lori, or Mom
I admire you the most! You keep teaching me new things everyday and I can already see traits of you coming out in me. You are the Mormon Martha Stewart, you know how to do everything perfectly. I love going shopping with you or even watching old TCM movies with you. Thank you for all that you have done for me! I love you!!

The Grammys
This really was the first year that I have actually watched the grammys, I mainly watched it to see what Lady Gaga was going to wear. But I actually enjoyed it. First the Arthea Franklin tribute, loved it. Lady Gaga's born this way performance was incredible. Im still a little confused on to what her horns were about, but Im still fine with it. Janelle Monae Im going to get to know you. Your crowd surfing failed BIG time, but its okay. Thats one of my life goals, is to crowd surf. Sweet, sweet, sweet Bob Dylan sing louder! I couldnt hear you but the bands before you, Mumford and Sons and the Avett Brothers, you were fun Im buying you on iTunes, were more entertaining, Im just saying. Esperanza Spalding you are amazing, same with your hair and that green dress I looooved it. Justin Bieber and Usher youre always fun and your dancing Usher mmmmm thats hot. And cute little Jaden Smith, where was your sister? I would have liked to hear I whip my hair that would have been a fun twist. Did anyone notice Will and Jada singing along and doing the arm motions? I thought that was a fun family moment. Cee Lo Green, what the heck? Are you trying to be Elton John or something? I did not appreciate that. But its was okay when Gwyneth Paltrow started to sing! Did anyone get sick of "forget you" the 2nd time it played on the radio? Its a little over played Cee Lo! Oh Lady Gagas 2nd outfit was the sickest thing ever. It was like a batman suit but sleezy and the butt imprints was what topped it off! Katy Perry, youre just there. I like you a lot and I really wanted you to start swinging on that large swing but you just raised instead and I really didnt appreciate you having a train on your dress you cut out half of the movie that was playing behind you. But you made up for it by Teenage Dream. Mick Jagger, youre just classy and who was Kim Kardasian with when it showed the Smiths again? Hmmm... I LOVE Barbra Steisand!! I am not embarassed to say that I know almost all the words to any muscial she has been in! Theres always some room to have Barbra in! Nicki Minaj, I love her so much. But is she wanting to be the next Lady Gaga but black with her interesting costumes, if anyone saw her perform for SNL you know what I mean. And whats was with her facial expressions? Rihannas hair is FUN! I hope her and Drake get together. Her performance was like a glammed African tribal dance around the fire party. And JLo's dress I want it! But probably a bit longer and I wouldnt want to have my boobs falling out of it. Arcade Fire is just unbelievably amazing! I first saw them on SNL, ever since then Ive loved them, I love the husband wifey duo. And finally Album of the year. It was a hard desicion Im sure. Arcade Fire, Eminem, Lady Antebellum, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry. I for sure thought it was going to be Lady Gaga her album is amazing but suprisingly it was the underdogs, Arcad Fire. What a great award show.

jumping on the bandwagon
Thank you to my sister, Elizabeth, and Sarah Nilson for getting me to start my blog. I have been wanting to write one for a long time. But I mainly thought that they were for newley weds and for young families, but seeing that a lot of my friends have them I decided to go for it! I am going to warn you right now that I am not the brightest speller, I tend to sound things out and end up not sounding them out right, so dont judge me by my spelling. Im a very fun, neat person, with a bubbly personality, and a very dry sarcastic sense of humor, that sometimes people dont get. I have weaknesses for shoes, nail polish, and BLT's, yeah thats right BLT's. I love my family very much, even when they make stupid jokes...like they did last night during dinner. I'll write about that later. We are VERY close. I dont think thats a bad thing at all I think thats how all families should be, tight like spandex! Thats all Ive got for my first post. Thanks for reading!
