let the summer vacations begin!

Finally, finally, finally its summer!! This is one of my most anticipated time of the year. I cant wait to be done with school, even though that was a month ago. I cant wait to get up to Bear Lake. I cant wait to be tan. I cant wait to wear swim suits 24/7. And I cant mainly wait to go on summer vacations! My first one started off with a five day trip down to Orlando, Florida to see one of my best friends be a Princess in Disneyworld! Sadly her princess training didnt being until we go down there but...we did get to see her as a Baby Einstein character...needless to say it was so much better than seeing her as a princess.

My next vacation will actually happen tomorrow. My whole Larsen side is traveling up to Kenne-the land of yes-wick, Washington to see our cousin graduate from high school. I can not wait!

Water for Elephants

Okay so I lied when I said that I was having a hard time trying to find another book to read after The Help. Lauren one of my best friends said that she was reading Water for Elephants and that it was amazing and that after shes is done that I can borrow her copy and then we can go see the movie after. Can I just tell you how amazing it was? I love historical fiction, and I love when books go back and forth from different years. I could hardly put the book down. The characters were amazing, and the plot was amazing. We went and saw the movie on Saturday  night and there was a lot of things different from the book like usual, but oh my heck Robert Pattinson...mmmmmmm and him and Resse Witherspoon made the cutest couple ever! And Christoph Waltz was perfect for August! If you haven't read this book you should!

Make It Work

On Saturday the Lucky store at the Gateway was holding a book signing for Tim Gunn. I was sooooooooooooo excited to actually go and meet a person that I adore, If any of you don't know who Tim Gunn is he is a mentor on Project Runway and the most amazing fashionista ever, anyways I even went out and bought his book for him to sign. Well unpleasantly my mom, Lauren, and I arrived at the Lucky store started to wait in line. After a couple of minutes I started to notice that everyone was holding a huge Lucky bag so then I started to freak out. My mom went in to investigate after a good 5 minutes she came out and said that the deal was that you had to spend $100 in the store and you'll receive a free Tim Gunn book and be able to get a picture with him. Who the heck would spend $100 in a lucky store? I'm sorry but I'm not that big of a fan of it. Ive never been able to find something from there that I adore enough to buy. So unfortunately I did not get a picture with him, I returned by book to Barnes and Noble. But I was lucky enough to take pictures far away.
 Thank you Mood!

And now Im having trouble finding another book to read cause it was so dang good! Anyways now theyre making a movie out of it with Emma Stone and Im soo excited! Fingers crossed it'll be good!

let the spring cleaning begin!

A lot of you may know that I love to clean and organzie things, except for my room, I've gotten better at it, I promise. Anyways a lot of you have been in our home office and I am so sorry for you. This week during my spring break, my goal was to clean the heck out of that room. My dad had extra cubicals from his office that he thought would be so great to have in our office but since there are drawers and shelves and extra counter space they have been a covered with our moms paper clippings, ripped out magazine pages and anything that has to do with Martha Stewart, House Beautiful, and the Ensign. I have had enough of the piles! I broke each part, the main computer desk, the closet, and the laptop/printer desk into three different days. And here are the before and afters...

I only have an after of the main computer because I didnt think
about taking before and after pictures after I cleaned up this mess

I couldnt have done this without iTunes, thank you The Beatles, Bob Marley, Lady Gaga, and Barbra Striesand. And I couldnt have done this when my mom was around, thank you for being in Hawaii over MY spring break! Thank you. My sister and I thought next time when theyre out of town we should get rid of the cubicals and get a huge long work space and combine our sewing room and office into one and make our sewing room into a playroom for the Farrah, Ava, and Jett, the grandbabies. Because if anyones watches Dear Genieve or Sarah's House on HGTV, your home office should be nothing like your work office...but thats for when our parents are out of town next time!

Ladies

Since March is Women's History Month. I would like to pay tribute to the ladies in my life that have inspired me, both living and non-living.

Great Grandma Martha Brian, who I am lucky to be named after!
She was an amazing woman that lived well over 100. She drank Diet Dr. Pepper until the day she died. She always had a story to tell us when we would come over. She had a darling house on about 6th East and 10 South with shaggy carpet and an old organ. She always had cookies and Bugles for us to eat and toys that my grandma used to play with when they were our age. I admire her so much!

Grandma Ermon Larsen
Grandma, where can I start? She is proably one of the most kindest, thoughtful person you'll ever meet. I was lucky to have lived there when I was born for a couple of months until our home was done. I've always thought of their home as a second house. You know when youre there because youre being asked a thousand questions if youre hungry or whats going on in your life. As a kids we would play "little people" and cars while her and my grandpa had their two tvs going on in the background with golf on.  At her house is where I learned my first swear word "shit" thats my grandmas go to word for anything. She is the best!

Grandma Pauline Bailey
I wish you were still here with us. You were an incredible woman. You raised six kids while working and being a wife. You taught me many things about life. I'll always remember painting your coffee table purple with a feather, having sleep overs in your enormous bed, playing dress ups in your jewlrey, and helping you decorate for the holidays.

Aunt Brenda, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Leslee, Aunt Penni, Aunt Lynn, Aunt Debbie,
Aunt Liz, Aunt Marie, Aunt Sue, Aunt Egie, Aunt Jenny, and of course Aunt Laura
All of my aunts are amazing woman. They stretch from Kennewick, Washington to Dallas, Texas. They have taught me so many things and are wonderful women! I love seeing them whenever I do. Theyve raised the best first and second cousins I could ask for!

Alyson, Jude, Eva, Denise, Heidi, Jan, Theresa, and Diane
My neighbors are amazing! They have pratically been my 2nd mothers. Some have been my young women leaders and I am so greatful for their testimonies! I love them so much!

all my [xi] babes and Vicki
Thank you for being there! I love coming every week and seeing all of your beautiful faces! We have so much fun together and I admire you all!

My siiiister, Elizabeth
This is your shout out! You have been an amazing example to me! I've looked up to my whole life! And I love it when you walk up here with Sammers and you have her wake me up. Thank you for all you have done and all the clothes I have stolen with out you knowing... I couldnt have asked for a better sister! I love you!

Lorbot, Lor, Lori, or Mom
I admire you the most! You keep teaching me new things everyday and I can already see traits of you coming out in me. You are the Mormon Martha Stewart, you know how to do everything perfectly. I love going shopping with you or even watching old TCM movies with you. Thank you for all that you have done for me! I love you!!
